为什么这一条规则让你丢这么多分
主谓一致是SPM英语中考得最多的语法概念。它出现在Paper 2的语法部分、完形填空中，考官在你的作文里也会一眼看出来。反复犯错的话，你的语言等级会下降——即使你的想法很好。
规则听起来简单：单数主语用单数动词，复数主语用复数动词。但实际上，SPM题目故意设计来迷惑你。
你必须知道的8条规则
规则1：基本一致
- 单数： The student writes an essay every week.
- 复数： The students write an essay every week.
这很直接。难的是主语和动词被隔开的时候。
规则2：主语和动词之间的词
主谓一致不受中间短语的影响。
- The price of these books is too high. ✅（主语是”price”不是”books”）
- The students in my class are hardworking. ✅
SPM陷阱： “The collection of stamps _____ valuable.” 答案：IS
规则3：用”And”连接的复合主语
两个主语用”and”连接通常是复数。
- Rice and curry are my favourite food. ✅
例外： 当两个名词指同一事物时用单数：
- Bread and butter is my usual breakfast. ✅（一样东西，不是两样）
规则4：Either/Or和Neither/Nor
动词跟最近的主语一致。
- Neither the teacher nor the students were late. ✅
- Neither the students nor the teacher was late. ✅
这是SPM最爱考的题型。记住：看离动词最近的名词。
规则5：集合名词
“team,” “family,” “class”这类词通常用单数。
- The team is ready. ✅
- My family is very supportive. ✅
规则6：Everyone, Each, Every
这些全部是单数——即使指很多人。
- Everyone is excited. ✅
- Each of the students has a textbook. ✅
- Nobody wants to fail. ✅
规则7：不可数名词
“information,” “furniture,” “luggage,” “news”——永远是单数。
- The news is shocking. ✅
- The furniture was delivered. ✅
规则8：“There Is” vs “There Are”
动词跟后面的名词一致。
- There is a book on the table. ✅
- There are many students. ✅
测试自己
- The group of tourists _____ (is/are) visiting Penang.
- Neither Siti nor her sisters _____ (has/have) finished.
- Every one of the questions _____ (was/were) difficult.
- The news _____ (is/are) out.
答案： 1. is, 2. have, 3. was, 4. is
